what’s with The Name?
We get this one a lot.
Concrete Cowboy doesn’t have much to do with woodworking—or furniture, really. And that’s kind of the point.
It’s a Western term for someone who looks the part but doesn’t own any cattle. Basically, it’s us. We may use dangerous powertools, appreciate a rugged southwest vibe, and certainly don’t mind getting a little dusty, but truth be told? We live in the city and spend too much time arguing over the best coffee house or choosing the right playlist for the workshop.
The name is a little self-aware, a lotta tongue-in-cheek—and a direct nod to the balance we strike between daring and design.
It’s also a subtle homage to our hometown of Indianapolis and the Speedway, where concrete and horsepower go hand in hand. think: high-speed, Determination, and the creative pulse that keeps this place moving.
THE CONCEPT
We’re not a gallery. We’re not a mass manufacturer. And we’re definitely not IKEA.
We’re builders—with an eye for design, a respect for craft, and a love of collaboration.
That means we’re not here to push trends or tell you what you should like. We're here to help you shape something that feels uniquely yours. Whether you walk in with a clear vision or just a rough idea, we work with you—hands-on, start to finish—to bring it to life with quality, care, and style.
We see this as a creative partnership. A conversation. An experience that’s as fun and inspiring as the final product itself.
And we’re building something bigger, too.
Our dream is to open a community woodshop-meets-coffeehouse right here in Indianapolis—a welcoming space where people can gather, explore craftsmanship, and even relax on the furniture we’ve made (because yes, it’s meant to be used).
